Sencha Milk Tea Place in Davao!

I love milk tea and so when I visited Davao City last weekend, I invited my sisters to go with me at Sencha Milk Tea Place along Magsaysay Street. It's easy to find, fronting Shanghai Restaurant and beside Chickies & Patties.

First thing that caught my attention was their furnitures, it looks nice. And the colors complimented the place. The place looks cozy and it has a good ambiance.

cute tables & chairs

We ordered their Sencha  Signature Milk Tea, Caramel Pearl Milk Tea & Aromatic Jasmine Milk Tea. We ordered sandwiches but they were not available according to their crew. Authentic Japanese Takoyaki lang daw ang available. And so we ordered Takoyaki on their menu (it taste good). The drinks were ok too.

They gave us this gadget after we ordered. It will light up and vibrate when order is ready.

My Digital Perm Experience at Tony & Jackey, SM Davao.

December 30, 2011, it was Friday and I was ready to have my hair digitally permed at Tony & Jackey. Tony & Jackey has been known to have good service especially hair rebonding & digital perming.

According to Wikipedia:
“A digital perm is a perm which uses hot rods with the temperature regulated by a machine, which has a digital display, hence the name. However, the process of the perm is quite analogous. The name “Digital Perm” is also copyrighted by a Japanese company, PAIMORE Co., Ltd.[1]  Hair stylists usually call it a “hot perm”, but it is commonly known as a “digital perm”.”

I spent almost 30 minutes talking to the receptionist, asking all questions. I was glad that she's uber accomodating. After all the inquiries, I finally gave it a go!!!

I decided to avail their Loreal Setting Digital Perm with Haircut plus Treatment because it uses a milder formula and it does less damage than the Aqua Setting Digital Perm (Korean formula which are suitable for Koreans daw).

First, they applied a hair treatment solution on my hair kasi my hair is color treated and it was dry na din due to many treatments that it went through. Actually it was the main reason that I want it permed na, I cant manage it anymore. My hair was dry & frizzy and so I wanted a wash and go hairstyle.

My dry & frizzy hair before digital perm.
After the hair treatment, my Korean hairstylist layered my hair para daw maganda ang curls. And then the digital perming begins.

The machine looks scary. (",)

The whole process lasted for 4 hours. I loved the curls but expectedly my hair came out dry pa din. But it was ok atleast hindi masyado halata with my now curly hair. I was told not to wash my hair for 48 hours.

My digitally permed hair.

TIPS from my stylist:
1. TWIST & SCRUNCH - Twist & Scrunch your locks upwards. It will help you maintain the curls.
2. GEL, MOUSE & CREAMS - These are needed due to dryness.
3. DONT BRUSH - Dont brush your hair because it will loosen up your curls.
